Travertine

Travertine has been an important building material since the Middle Ages. It can also be polished to a smooth, shiny finish, and comes in a variety of colors from grey to coral-red. Travertine is most commonly available in tile sizes for floor installations and also is one of the most frequently used stones in modern architecture.

Travertine is a natural stone, with a varied and luxurious appearance, typically in light colors of ivory, cream, walnut and beige. Because of its durability it is often used for floors and bathrooms, but is gaining popularity for kitchen countertops, walls and other uses throughout the home.
